Vipin
M. P. Shah Barrister - Chairman
Vipin Shah was born in Kenya and educated in Nairobi,
Mumbai and London where he was called to the English
Bar as a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle
Temple. He also holds a Fellowship of the Royal Postgraduate
Medical School and Imperial College School of Medicine
awarded as a result of the family's contribution to
charity. He moved to Jersey in 1969, and, with his
brother Anant, established the banking and financial
services business of the Meghraj Group in 1973. Vipin
was the Chairman of the family-owned Kingsridge Trustee
Company (Jersey) Limited prior to the merger which
created Minerva in January 2001.

William Kay BA ACIB - Managing Director
William Kay joined Minerva in November 2001. During a 27 year career with the Barclays Group, William held a number of Senior Executive positions in the Bank's Private Banking division in London and in Jersey, where he was Managing Director of Barclays Private Bank & Trust Limited between 1994 and 2000. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and has an Honours degree in English and History. With his extensive experience in private banking and client relationships, William is responsible for overall management and control of Minerva and its associates.

Sarah Anderson MA CA - Head of Finance
Sarah Anderson joined Minerva in February 2002 as Financial Controller. Born and educated in Scotland, she is a graduate of Edinburgh University and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in 1995. Sarah is also responsible for overseeing the production of client accounts.

Derek Le Brun - Director
Derek Le Brun joined City Management Limited in 2001 having run his own financial services company for twelve years. He has previously worked for a bank owned trust company and subsequently as a Director of the trust department of one of Jersey’s largest legal practices. In addition to his responsibility for a team of administrators looking after the day-to-day affairs of client entities, Derek has specific expertise in the administration of airline and personnel companies.

Julia Le Feuvre FCIS TEP - Head of Compliance and Risk
Julia Le Feuvre is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators and a member of both the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Jersey Compliance Officers Association. She gained 15 years experience in trust and company administration with privately-owned trust companies in Jersey before moving into compliance in 2000. Julia has also successfully completed the Financial Compliance Certificate and the Money Laundering Reporting Officers Certificate. Julia also serves as Minerva's Company Secretary.

Derek Livingstone BComm CA - Director
Derek Livingstone was born and educated in Scotland and has a BCom degree from Edinburgh University. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Touche Ross & Co in 1977 and moved to Jersey at that time. He was previously with Ernst & Young and Deloitte & Touche in Jersey and joined Kingsridge in 1999. Derek has responsibility for a team of administrators looking after the day-to-day affairs of client entities.

Sailesh K. Navsaria ACIB - Director
Sailesh Navsaria began his banking career with Barclays, in London, before joining the Meghraj Group, with whom he spent 12 years in private banking. He spent five years in Africa managing Meghraj’s regional offices in Kenya & South Africa. He was born in Uganda and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Sailesh moved to Jersey in 2001 where he is a client relationship director with prime responsibility for Minerva’s clients in East Africa.

Peter Nicolle ACIB MSI TEP - Director
Peter Nicolle was born and educated in Jersey and has over 20 years experience in the provision of trust and company management services. Peter held directorship and other senior appointments for several bank-owned trust companies before joining Professional Trust in 1996 as Managing Director and a shareholder. Peter has responsibility for a team of administrators looking after the day-to-day affairs of client entities, and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Member of the Securities Institute and a member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners.

Sylvie Pierre Dip FSM TEP - Associate Director
Sylvie Pierre was born in France and educated in Luxembourg where she began her career working for a major Scandinavian bank. She joined Professional Trust Company in Jersey in 1996. Sylvie is widely experienced in trust and company administration matters and principally has responsibility for clients in the UK and continental Europe, where her fluency in French, German, Luxembourgish and Italian is an advantage. Sylvie is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners.

Chris Pursley ACIB - Head of Operations
Chris Pursley joined Minerva at the beginning of 2008 following a career spanning 30 years in banking. He has previously held senior operations positions with Barclays Private Bank and Standard Chartered bank and last year worked with a Swiss owned trust company to establish their Jersey banking operation. Since joining Minerva, Chris has overseen the successful migration to a new core systems platform in Jersey and is now working toward a similar implementation in Minerva's international offices.

Neel Sahai BA (Hons) ACA - Director
Neel Sahai was born in the Bahamas and educated in Jersey and the UK. After receiving his degree in Economics from Swansea University, Neel trained as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Jersey, qualifying in 2000. He then worked with PwC in Sydney, Australia, before returning to Jersey in 2004 when he joined Minerva as a client relationship director with prime responsibility for the Indian client base.

Umesh Sahai BA FCA - Consultant
Umesh Sahai graduated from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University in 1963 and moved to England in 1964 to commence a career in accountancy, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1969. In 1970 he moved to the Bahamas where he worked for Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co, Chartered Accountants and as Finance Director of Xerox Corporation, Bahamas. He has many years experience of dealing with wealthy private clients. He was a Director and shareholder of City Management Limited prior to the merger which created Minerva in January 2001.

Mike Cordwell FCIS MSI TEP - Consultant
Mike Cordwell was born in the Isle of Man and came to Jersey in 1986. Before founding Professional Trust in 1993, Mike was the Managing Director of a bank-owned trust company. He has over 25 years fiduciary and insurance sector experience regarding private, corporate and institutional clients and is involved in the development of new business relationships. Mike is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, a Member of the Securities Institute and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Simon Howard - Non Executive Director
Simon has nearly 20 years experience of legal practice in the Channel Islands having qualified in 1987 and specialises in investment fund structures, regulatory issues and compliance law matters, predominantly for corporate and institutional clients. Simon also works closely with the Jersey Financial Services Commission, providing ad hoc consultancy advice to the regulatory body on investment fund legislation and reforms and is on numerous industry steering groups, working with the Commission on the ongoing development of the financial services regime in Jersey.

Gavin
Wilkins ACA - Director,

Gavin Wilkins joined Minerva in July 2007 having previously specialised in investment management within the Audit and Business Advisory Services department of PricewaterhouseCoopers Jersey and Geneva. He has broad experience within the funds industry encompassing a wide variety of structures and asset bases. Gavin is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and received a first class honours degree in accountancy from the University of Glasgow.

David Ryan ACIB - General Manager
David Ryan held various positions during a 22 year career with Barclays Bank PLC both domestically and internationally, culminating in responsibility for the Bank's business development activities for the Offshore Intermediary sector. David left Barclays in 2000 to join a Swiss-based trust company as Treasury Director, and in 2004 he joined Minerva in the same role. In addition to his General Manger, Geneva role David is Minerva Group Head of Treasury. David is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Joseph McBurney BSE (Hons) - Trust Officer
Joseph joined JTSA in April 2006 having already spent 9 years working in the Offshore Finance Industry in Jersey, London, British Virgin Islands and now Geneva. He is a graduate of the University of Hull and is currently completing his professional Estate and Trust Practitioners (TEP) exams this year. Joseph has been in Geneva for two years and previously held positions with Equity Trust and Citibank.

Simon Hodges ACA - Managing Director
Simon Hodges joined Minerva in October 2008 from Rawlinson & Hunter, Jersey where he was a private client trust partner responsible primarily for a portfolio of entrepreneurial clients and business development. Simon qualified as a chartered accountant in 2000 with Ernst & Young having previously served as an officer in the Coldstream Guards for seven years, with operational tours in Bosnia and Northern Ireland. After qualifying as an accountant Simon gained corporate finance experience working for the Swire Group in Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea. Simon has strong ties with the Middle East region, and assumed responsibility as Managing Director in September 2009.

Romi Sahai ACA - Director
Romi was born in the Bahamas and educated in Jersey and the U.K. He holds a degree in Economics from Warwick University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 2000. After leaving KPMG, Romi joined a medium sized business process outsourcing group with operations in India and the USA. Based in London he was responsible for developing and marketing the Group's finance and accounting back office services to the European market. Romi moved to Dubai in October 2006 to manage a Minerva affiliated company involved in facilitating regional trade.

Vilas Adatia- Client Relationship Director
Vilas was born and educated in Kenya and moved to the UK in 1975. She joined State Bank of India in London in 1976 and moved to Meghraj Bank Limited in 1985. Vilas was responsible for business development and relationship management matters for Meghraj clients in Southern and Central Africa, specialising in banking, trust, property and insurance services. In 1996, she moved to South Africa, initially to set up and manage a branch office of Meghraj Bank, and latterly as an independent financial consultant. Immediately before joining Minerva (Middle East) Limited, Vilas worked as a trade finance manager with a London based import/export company.
